Ervin Savord spent a decade on the ISD 831 School Board. On Thursday, Dec. 1, Savord went before the board during its open forum session to offer words of advice to the three incoming board members who won election in November. In a short talk before the board, Savord had praise for the school district, calling it an outstanding organization. In a message to new board members David Gay, Julie Corcoran and Eric Langness, Savord urged them to visit schools, listen and learn as he did when he was first elected. ìI thought I knew a lot,î he said. ìI knew very little.î Savord also had words of commendation for the current board members, saying they have sacrificed a lot to serve their community. The three new board members take office in January and replace Karen Morehead, Dean Barr and Jody Krebs.
