A satisfactory review has earned Forest Lake Superintendent of Schools Lynn Steenblock a pay for performance bonus under terms of his contract. The school board on Thursday, Dec. 1 awarded the superintendent a bonus amounting to 90 percent of the $7200 maximum amount he was eligible to receive under the contract. The bonus amounts to $6480. The pay was recommended by the board's three-member staff welfare committee. In addition to 10 general goals established by the Minnesota School Boards Association, Steenblock's bonus pay was largely based on satisfactory achievement of four school board-set goals. They include the continuation of the five-year curriculum review process, leadership in academic testing progress, team building with principals as individuals and as a group, and development of a communications and marketing plan for the school district.
