An anonymous tip of an attempted residential burglary did not result in a burglary charge but a Forest Lake man was arrested on felony counts of possession of drugs.
City police were called to 21183 Everton Ave. at 2:12 a.m. Monday after receiving an anonymous call of an attempted burglary in progress. The caller told police a man had been seen crawling in a window of the home, said Chief of Police Clark Quiring.
When police arrived at the home they were met by the man at the front. Michael J. Densinger, 40, told police he has lived at the home for some time, the chief said.
After searching the man, Quiring said he was arrested for drug possession. Densinger was taken to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater where he was booked on two felony counts of possession of controlled substance, marijuana and methamphetamine, the chief said.
No other arrests were made.
Other crimes
In other crime news, Quiring said the area was hit by a rash of vandalism over the weekend when store and vehicle windows were damaged by either a pellet gun or B-B gun.
Quiring said windows at The Towers office complex and Edina Realty, 146 N. Lake St., were damaged over the weekend.
The chief also said windows on four or five vehicles parked in driveways in the city were also damaged by the B-B gun or pellet gun fire.
