The Forest Lake High School boys hockey team snapped a four game losing streak and turned it into a two game winning streak this week with victories over Stillwater and Park (Cottage Grove).
The Rangers scored two first period goals from Sean Tilton and Andy Hardy to take an early lead against Stillwater last Thursday, but they gave up a goal in both the second and third period, forcing overtime. In the overtime period, Christian Fogerty scored 0:52 into the period to win the game for the Rangers.
Two nights later the Rangers traveled to Park (Cottage Grove) where a goal from Patrick Fogerty and two from Tom Kubes, not to mention 27 saves from goalie Brandon Neujahr, gave the Rangers a 3-0 win.
The two Rangers victories this week brings their conference record to 6-7-0 and 14-9-1 overall.
The Rangers next game is today, Thursday, at Woodbury at 7:30 p.m.
