Season ends in Cloquet

Being ranked eighth and having to face the number one seed in the first round of the section 7AA playoffs, left the Forest Lake High School girls hockey team with a tough task.
The Rangers traveled to Cloquet last Thursday to take on the 15-6-4 number one seed. Cloquet scored a first period goal to take the lead, pinning the Rangers against the wall. Both teams were held scoreless in the second period, but Cloquet added three more goals in the third period, ending the Rangers season with a 4-0 loss.
The loss to Cloquet gives the Rangers a 5-17-4 overall record. The Rangers went 1-12-1 in Suburban East Conference play with their only win coming against Park (Cottage Grove).
