Elsie Lechner
Elsie Lechner, 92, Forest Lake, died July 13, 2005.
Elsie (Carlson) Lechner was born October 12, 1912 in So. St. Paul, MN & passed away July 13, 2005 at the age of 92. She was the loving wife of Laurence (L.T.) Lechner who was superintendent of schools in MN for over 40 years. Elsieís life centered around her family & music. She sang in church choir in her early years & was a church organist for over 45 years. She also was a church choir director and gave piano lessons. As a superintendentís wife she was known for her gracious hospitality.
A funeral service was Saturday, July 16, at Faith Lutheran Church, Forest Lake, with burial at Scandinavian Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Lechner; and grandson Robert Tosterud Jr. She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Cleve) Moore, Ft. Collins, CO, Karen (Dr. Robert) Tosterud, Vermillion, SD; grandchildren Dr. Greg (Chenchen) Moore, St. Petersburg, FL, Barbara (Chris) Deigert, Ft. Collins, CO, and Jonathan (Marissa) Tosterud; and great grandchildren Isobel and Elijah Tosterud of Tecumseh, MI.
