When it comes to keeping financial records, Washington County is doing a good job. The Washington County Board on July 12 received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 2003 fiscal year. This certificate marked the 19th consecutive year that Washington County has received this recognition. This certificate was received because the countyís annual financial reports have achieved the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting, the county board said in a news release last week.
