Mickey Mantle season ends

The 2005 Forest Lake Mickey Mantle season came to an end last Tuesday as they lost 7-2 to Delano in the state tournament.
ėMatt Zidar pitched four solid innings for us and Ben Marleau came in for two more but errors did us in,î Forest Lake coach Shane Spears said.
The loss gave Forest Lake an overall record of 11-13. The team was 7-8 in conference play.
ėThe kids learned a lot this season as they played up an age bracket so they should be ready for next year,î Spears said.
