Clark Quiring, police chief and director of public safety, will be the guest speaker of the July membership meeting of the Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Quiring will speak during the Chamberís meeting, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., today (Thursday) at American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave. The chiefís topic is: ìHow to protect your business from being ripped off: counterfeiting, identity theft, vandalism and shoplifting.î Tickets are $12 for Chamber members and $18 for non-members. Todayís meeting also signals a date change for the Chamberís membership. The Chamber earlier announced a change from Wednesdays to Thursdays to avoid conflicts with the Forest Lake Rotary Club.
