Eight candidates are running for three seats on the ISD 831 School Board. The filing period for the three, four-year seats on the school board ended on Tuesday.

The district reports the following filings: Amy Clauson, 10531 216th St. N., Scandia; Julie A. Corcoran, 6471 210th Lane N., Forest Lake; David Gay, 22760 Ideal Ave. N., Forest Lake; Dan Kieger, 7710 Marilyn Dr., Lino Lakes; Jody Krebs, 7509 172nd Ave., Columbus; Eric Michael Langness, 9610 N. 223rd St., Forest Lake; Bill Schell, 22680 Jeffrey Ave., Forest Lake N.; and Michelle J. Dewitt, 22920 Hayward Ave. N., Forest Lake. Krebs is completing her first four-year term on the school board.

The annual school district election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 8. A primary election is required because of new election laws. The primary is set for Sept. 13. If two candidates withdraw from the election by 5 p.m. today, Thursday, there will be no primary.
