Brewers on a roll in weekís play

Three wins in this weekís play extended the Forest Lake brewers winning streak to five games.
The Brewers started the week with a 6-4 win over Wesly House - Minneapolis last Tuesday.
The Brewers got on the board in the bottom of the first after Paul Miron and Kyle Eaton both reached on singles, then Tyler Engquist drove them in with a double to left field.
Wesly House - Minneapolis got two runs of their own in the top of the third to tie the game, then added another run in the top of the fifth to take a one run lead. In the bottom half of the fifth the Brewers Alex Johnson had an RBI single that tied the game.
The Brewers took the lead in their half of the seventh inning when Engquist scored both Steve Carlisle and Alex Johnson with a single. The Brewers added another run in the eighth inning when Carlisle hit an RBI scoring single.
Wesly House - Minneapolis added one late run in the top of the ninth.
Luke Hagman pitched a complete game for the Brewers, striking out six batters in the game.
The very next day the Brewers had little trouble with Princeton. A five run fifth inning for the Brewers put the game out of reach as they went on to win 19-4.
Mark Miron went 2-3 in the game for the Brewers with four runs scored and three RBIs. Sean Majewski was 3-4 with three runs scored and one RBI and Jeremy Hanson was 1-2 with three runs scored and one RBI.
Hanson recorded the complete game victory with four strike outs and four runs allowed.
In their final game of the week the Brewers defeated St. Paul Sport and Spine 5-4.
The Brewers played a sloppy game, committing six errors in the game. Brewers pitcher Chris Parent pitched six innings, striking out six, but St. Paul Sport and Spine was able to score four runs, all unearned thanks to errors.
Brian Welch came in to pitch for Parent and held St. Paul Sport and Spine scoreless the remainder of the game.
The Brewers scored three runs in the seventh, then another in the eighth to tie the game.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Miron led off with a single then Brian Welch sacrifice bunted him to second base. Kyle Eaton hit a single to left field that scored Miron just ahead of the throw, giving the Brewers the come from behind victory.
ìWhatís great to see is that we can win the close games where we donít play very well, I think thatís a characteristic of a good team,î Coach Tyler Engquist said.
The Brewers take their 5 game wining streak on the road Sunday for a conference double header versus the Coon Rapids Cardinals. The first game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
