Wednesday, June 15 will be an opportunity for the public to learn more about plans for improvements to W. Broadway Ave. and the I-35 interchange in Forest Lake.

Washington County and the city of Forest Lake will host an informal open house from 4-7 p.m. at Century Junior High School, 21395 Goodview Ave. to explain planning efforts to date for CR-2 (Broadway).

Planners are nearing the final design stage for improvements to CR-2 from US-61 (Lake Street) to I-35 and a new interchange for the I-35 overpass.

The study is also considering roundabout intersection designs for a number of key intersections in the city.

Another aspect of the Broadway plan that will be reviewed with the public involves a possible second I-35 overpass on SW 11th Ave.

County and city planners will be on hand to informally discuss the design plans with the public. No formal presentation is scheduled on June 15.
