Girls golf takes 8th

The Forest Lake High School girls golf team was a bit off par Monday with an eighth place finish at the Pioneer Invitational.
Sarah Berger and Betsy Kelly both shot 88 at the invite and Ashley Weeda shot a 99. Emily Wislecenus was the fourth Ranger whose score counted with a 113. The team finished with a team score of 388.
Elk River won the invite with a team score of 344.
ìWe desperately need to get a more consistent fourth score,î Rangers head coach Bill Loushine said. ìDifferent people have done well, but once in a while nobody fills that spot well enough to move us up in the final results.î
The Rangers next event is Friday at River Oaks at 2:45 p.m.
