Boys golf finishes 3rd at River Oaks

A team score of 151 helped the Forest Lake High School boys golf team finish third Friday at River Oaks Golf Course behind White Bear Lake and Woodbury.
Jacob Svenkeson led the Rangers with a score of 36. Noah Lawson was next with a score of 38, Svenkesonís brother Adam with a 38 and Mark Moberg with a score of 39.
The third place finish helped the Rangers move into second place in the Suburban East Conference standings as Roseville slipped a bit and fell into third place. The Rangers still trail Woodbury.
At the Purple Hawk Invite Monday the Rangers placed second out of 21 teams. Chisago Lakes was the only team with a better score than the Rangers.
Kyle Lewis had the best score for the Rangers after 18 holes with a score of 76 followed by Lawson who had an 80, and Brad Lange and Jacob Svenkeson who both shot 80.
Lewisí score of 76 tied him for second place individually.
The Rangers next meet is Monday at the Blaine Invite at 11 a.m.
