Locals place at 4-H Shooting Sports Wildlife Invite
Erik Borlaug of Columbus Township took first place in intermediate trap for the second year in a row at the 2005 4-H State Shooting Sports Wildlife Invitational. He also took second place in both bare bow intermediate archery and BB gun.
Other award winners from the Forest Lake area include Amy Hodges who took second in intermediate black powder, and 10th place in blackpowder overall. Sarah Hodges took third in Jr BB gun, and Wendy Prow took fifth place in the Sr black powder hawk throw.
The Wildlife Conservation Poster Team of Brice Elliot, James Florman, Nina Gobernatz, Michael Godin, Patrick Godin, Amy Hodges, Sarah Hodges, Andrew Meyer, Hanna Post, Jeromy Post, Wendy Prow, and Ben Zeibarth also earned first place.
The 2005 4-H State Shooting Sports Wildlife Invitational was held Sept. 10 & 11 in Bemidji, with over 400 youth from around Minnesota competing.
