Temporary structures, including canvas and plastic covered carports, are not permitted within the city limits, according to City of Forest Lake officials. All structures must meet the requirements of the city ordinance and the Minnesota Residential Code. City officials noted that since temporary structures do not meet these requirements, they are not a permitted use within the City of Forest Lake and must be removed immediately.
