Voting precincts will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. for ISD 831ís school board and levy referendum election on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The three seats that are for election this fall are all for four-year school board terms beginning Jan. 1, 2006.
Stories elsewhere in the edition will give readers more information about board candidates and the excess levy referendum proposal.
Candidates in the election are Eric Michael Langness, Michele J. DeWitt, Dan Kieger, Jody Krebs, David Gay and Julie A. Corcoran. Krebs is the only incumbent seeking reelection.
Voting this year will be by machine, another first for the district. Machines were first used in the Sept. 13 primary contest.
Registration is possible at the polls on election day.
Six voting precincts are offered for geographic areas of the district. Residents must vote within the precinct where they live.
