A "Friday Night Live Music Series" is scheduled to begin at The Nesting Grounds in Wyoming. Starting this weekend, the coffee house will host a free live musical performance from 7 to 9 p.m. A variety of musical acts will perform each Friday through Dec. 16. The series will kick off on Nov. 4 with a jazz quartet of Century College students, informally known as the Century Jazz Group. The group includes Forest Lake resident, Dan Bennett, on tenor saxophone. Future scheduled performers include local female singer/songwriter Sam Grimes, Christian music group Wings of the Spirit, and Bob Herr. Local musicians interested in playing at the coffee house are encouraged to contact The Nesting Grounds. Also during November and December, The Nesting Grounds features hand-crafted products from around the world, including a variety of nativity sets and gift baskets.
