'That's Their Grand Casino Story'

Donít be surprised if the faces and the places on the Grand Casino television commercial later this month look familiar.

The faces and the setting, Roxyís Total Image in Forest Lake, will be the feature players of a new Grand Casino commercial filmed in Forest Lake and at Grand Casino in Hinckley last week.

Last Thursday saw three stylists from Roxyís Total Image, 1031 S. Lake St., and a number of other characters captured on film in a new commercial shot on location here by Red Circle Agency, Minneapolis.

The commercial will be released as part of Grand Casino Hinckley and Grand Casino Mille Lacsí ìWhatís Your Grand Casino Storyî campaign.

Last summer, Roxyís stylists Renee Youngquist, Nicole Bothman and Sarah Nelson attended a hair stylist convention at Grand Casino Hinckley. The threesome went home with a combined $3400 after a successful night at the casino.

When word got out about their winnings, customers flocked to the salon hoping the stylistsí luck would rub off on them. One customer asked Youngquist to rub his head for good luck.

As part of the Grand Casino campaign, the stylistsí commercial reenacts the co-workersí experience and shows them happy at work at Roxyís.

Along with the three stylists, three adult male customers at Roxyís were also recruited for the full day of filming here on Thursday.

Bob Meister of Scandia, father of Roxyís owner Roxy Miller, Jim Burton of Scandia, father of Roxyís manager Paula Larson, and Joe Johnson of Forest Lake were selected for the male customers. Johnson is a veteran of a number of film and print commercials.

A Red Circle film crew of 25 camped at Roxyís for a full day of filming on Sept. 29. The crew and cast spent Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Hinckley casino.

The final product ó a 30 second commercial ó will begin airing in the Twin Cities market later this month.
