FL man faces more legal trouble

A Forest Lake man who faces legal trouble in Ramsey and Washington counties is now in trouble with Wisconsin authorities.
Police in Forest Lake on Monday executed a search warrant at the Stephen Barthold home, 21183 Everton Ave. N. where they found three concrete lawn statues that had been reported stolen in Wisconsin.
Chief of Police Clark Quiring said the search warrant detail was in partnership with the Polk County Sheriffís Office that is investigated Bartholdís possible involvement in a crime in that Wisconsin county.
Barthold, 42, is being held in the county jail in Balsam Lake after an arrest in St. Croix Falls, WI, Quiring said.
The items recovered from the garage at Bartholdís home had been stolen from Rogers Concrete, Amery. They had value that topped $600, police here said.
The Wisconsin trouble is the latest tangle with the law for Barthold, the chief said.
Later this month Barthold will be sentenced in Ramsey and Washington county district courts on an assortment of charges that include auto theft and forgery, the chief said. A plea bargain was reached in the two Minnesota counties, the police chief said.

Anyone missing a horse?
Forest Lake police have one, the chief said.
On Saturday, city officers were called to Anderson Iris Gardens, 22179 Keather Ave. N. where a stray horse had been found. Police said the gray appaloosa wandered into the yard at Anderson Iris Gardens.
The horse, which was described as gentle and docile, is being cared for at the location where it was found, Quiring said.
Police on Tuesday have yet to have anyone claim the animal. Anyone who may have information about the missing horse is asked to call the Forest Lake Police Department at 651-464-5877, Quiring said.

ïInvestigating a hunting complaint reported at 8:42 a.m. from 22144 Jason Ave. N. where a home owner reported gunshots shortly before 9 a.m. and a dead goose in the water that had not been picked up by hunters.
ïInvestigating the report of the theft of a 2003 Honda Foreman 450 all-terrain vehicle and a 1993 Yamaha 250 ATV on Sept. 29 from the residence at 21191 Everton Ave. N. No value was reported on the two stolen ATVs, police said.
