unty Board of Commissioners last week followed the Internal Revenue Serviceís lead in increasing its mileage reimbursement for county business driving from 40.5 cents per mile to 48.5 cents per mile. The county board took the action at its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Washington County has traditionally followed the IRS standard when setting mileage reimbursement, but a mid-year adjustment by the IRS is unusual, county officials said.
