A garage sale to benefit the animal rescue efforts of St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue in Forest Lake will take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9-10. The garage sale will take place at Northland Mall in Forest Lake, starting at 9:30 a.m. both days. Volunteers for St. Francis are now accepting donated items for the sale. Furniture, toys, books and the like will be accepted. No clothes, please. For more information on donating items for the garage sale, call 651-464-3510. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day, St. Francis will also have an adoption day at Northland Mall on Saturday, Sept. 10. A number of dogs and cats that are available for adoption will be at the mall.
