A benefit pig roast to help an area man who is being treated for brain cancer is planned from 2-9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 at Blacksmith Lounge, 17205 Forest Blvd. N., Hugo. Ron Oswald, owner of Oswald Wood Crafters and a longtime resident of Forest Lake, was diagnosed with brain cancer in July. Oswald has gone through many hours of surgery, intense physical therapy and is now doing radiation and chemotherapy. A pork sandwich meal with baked beans, pickle and chips will be served. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. A silent auction and drawings are also planned. All proceeds will go to the Oswald family for medical and personal expenses.
