Hastings swim team too much for FL

Despite falling to Hastings 103-81, the Forest Lake High School swimming and diving team had another four swimmers qualify for the section meet.
Gaby Bunten qualified for the section meet with a time of 2:23.60 in the 200-meter individual medly and a time of 58.78 in the 100-meter freestyle.
Lindsey Quale qualified in the 100-meter butterfly with her time of 1:15.41 and eighth grader Sarah Williamson qualified for sections in the 100-meter breaststroke. Allison Garrity also qualified for the section meet with a time of 1:13.39 in the backstroke.
Before taking on Hastings the Rangers lost to Coon Rapids by a score of 107-79, but eight more swimmers qualified for the section meet.
Francis VanSloun qualified for section in both the 200 and 500-meter freestyle as did Becky Zierky. Darian Kaiser qualified for the section meet in the 100-meter butterfly, Carrie Peterson in the 100-meter butterfly, Mary Walters in the 100-meter freestyle, Ann Husfeldt in the 500-meter freestyle, Heidi Merrier in the 100-meter breaststroke and Alissa Moberg in the 100-meter breaststroke.
The Rangers next meet is Saturday at White Bear Lake at 12 p.m.
