The Chisago County Board of Commissioners on April 5 voted to restore hours for Chisago County libraries within the East Central Regional Library system. The board decision restores $5038 to the community library budget line item which will replace the $4416 which was cut earlier in the year. Without the restoration of funds, the county libraries would have lost a total of nine hours of service from the library system. ìOur community can be thankful that the county board has chosen to ensure that the community library buildings will be open for use by residents,î said County Commissioner Ben Montzka of Wyoming who represents the area served by the Giese Library in Wyoming. The vote to restore the funding found support from Commissioners Montzka, Rich Olseen, Mike Robinson and Lynn Schultz. Commissioner Bob Gustafson abstained.
