Washington County will retain the services of its county highway engineer. The county board on Tuesday, April 4, voted to reappoint Washington County Director of Transportation and Physical Development Don Theisen as county highway engineer. Theisen has served in the position since 2002. His new term will expire in April of 2010. In approving the reappointment, county commissioners thanked Theisen for his service and noted his skill in responding to concerns and working with the public on complex road projects. Theisen is a resident of New Scandia Township.
