FLHS 2006 Senior All-Night party scheduled June 8
The Class of 2006 Forest Lake High School All-Night Senior Party is scheduled for Thursday, June 8, immediately following the graduation ceremony.
This year will mark the 26th year of providing our seniors with an exciting, fun, safe, and chemical-free graduation celebration alternative.
This yearís theme is ìGET INTO THE MIX 2006.î
The All-Night Party gives seniors an opportunity to spend a final night with their classmates and celebrate graduation.
The FLHS Senior All-Night Party will be held at Southwest Junior High.
Students are expected to stay all night to enjoy the activities, which will end about 5 a.m. on Friday, June 9.
This yearís entertainment includes, among other things, casino games, giant tricycle races, bungee challenge, velcro wall, buddy photos, a coffee house, and pool tables.
The graduates can have their t-shirts airbrushed-painted and their hair done up in unique styles and colors.
The swimming pool will be open for a game of water polo, or a quick dip to revitalize the energy level to make it through the night.
There will be a DJ playing a variety of music types, plus there is a movie room for those who need to take a break while watching a favorite movie.
Lots of food and drink will be provided throughout the night.
This yearís feature entertainment again includes an appearance by hypnotist, John Ivan Palmer.
His performance in past years has been a BIG HIT for the seniors.
Prizes will be awarded throughout the night. Each student will receive a prize, which is valued around $25.
In addition, they also have a chance to win one of the larger prizes, valued from $50-$200.
Each student will be provided a bin in which to place all of their valuables, while they are out enjoying the activities.
The bins are in a secure area and will be given to the graduate at the end of the party for them to take home.
Everything is included in the ticket price so students do not need any extra money for the evening.

Volunteers Needed
Putting on a senior party requires hundreds of volunteer hours.
Volunteers donít have to be a parent of a senior to help. In fact, we are hoping to get greater participation from more junior and sophomore parents. There are also many adults who donít even have sons or daughters in high school who volunteer to help out.
Volunteers can do anything from serving food to dealing blackjack.
Help is always needed before, during, and after the party.
The success of this party is heavily dependent on parental support and involvement, as well as community support where local businesses and organizations provide donations to help supplement the cost of entertainment, activities, prizes and food.
In January, letters were sent out to local businesses requesting their support.
The businesses in the Forest Lake Area School District have been very supportive through their donations of prizes, services, money, time and talent to make this evening a successful conclusion to our seniorsí high school experience.
During the month of May, hundreds of phone calls will be made to parents of high school students asking them to volunteer time.
Advance tickets are $50 and can be purchased during all lunch periods May 30-June 7. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $55.
The Party Committee is hoping that 75 percent of the senior class will attend this final fling, as we feel very confident that they will all have a safe and memorable experience enjoying their classmates one last time before moving onto the next stages of their lives.
