Hearing cancellation said procedural
Officials in the city of Wyoming and Wyoming Township expressed frustration over the cancellation of a court hearing date in Ramsey County, but said the public should be assured the court decision was procedural. Wyoming Mayor Sheldon Anderson and Town Board Chair Roger Elmore released that statement in the wake of numerous phone calls regarding the court cancellation. The court was slated to hear a writ of mandamus regarding the orderly annexation process that is taking place between the city and township and annexation bids that have been filed by Chisago City and Stacy for land parcels in Wyoming Township. ìDue to the amount of information and the fact that arguments have been filed as late as Friday, April 7, the judge has opted to study all the testimony before granting oral arguments in open court,î Elmore and Anderson said in a joint statement. The officials continue to await a new hearing date.
