4 in running for Wyoming administrator

The pool of candidates for the job of Wyoming city administrator was narrowed to four on Friday, March 31.
Listed alphabetically they are:
ïDavid D. Carlstrom, currently city administrator for Chisholm;
ïCraig J. Mattson, currently city administrator for East Grand Forks;
ïEdward M. Treska, currently city administrator for Grand Rapids, MN; and
ïLynda J. Woulfe, currently city administrator for Pine City.
Wyoming City Council met in a special session on Tuesday, March 28 with Nick Dragisich, Springsted, Inc. to review resumes of potential candidates.
Dragisich summarized profiles of eight individuals during the meeting and council members narrowed the list to a final group on Friday.
According to city staff, candidates will meet Friday with department heads, with individual interviews scheduled for Saturday morning. Council members said they wanted the interviews scheduled as soon as possible.
A final decision will be made as soon as possible after Saturday interviews.
Springsted began the executive search at the beginning of November 2005.
Police hire
In the only other action at the meeting on March 28, council unanimously approved the hiring of Michael Volman as a police officer for the city. The vote was 4-0, with CM Ted Phillips not in attendance.
At its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 21 council had approved the hiring of Pat Martin to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Brian Grahme who had accepted a position with the Minneapolis Police Department. Martin did not accept the appointment.
