George M. Thurnbeck
George M. Thurnbeck, 94, Forest Lake, died Thursday, July 27, 2006.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 4 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. A rosary service will begin at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m.- 10 a.m. on Friday. Burial at Calvary Cemetery in Forest Lake. Memorials may be directed to a charity of choice.
He is survived by his children, Diane (Roy) Rueb, and Darrell Thurnbeck; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Vanselow and Mary Charpentier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine (Hauble); wife, Lillian; brothers, Frank, Larry and Clem; sister Milly Knutson.
