The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department will host a Lands and Lakes Festival on Saturday, Aug. 12 at Wargo Nature Center in Lino Lakes, with outreach programs in the surrounding communities. The festival celebrates nature by informing the public about recreational and educational opportunities in Anoka County and encouraging good stewardship practices for the areaís land, lakes and its wildlife. The festival features a variety of events throughout the day including family entertainment, day field trips, land stewardship workshops, and recreation classes. Local vendors also will be on hand to provide information to the public.
