Northwoods Humane Societyís 8th Annual Walk with the Animals ëFurry Scurryí will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Lent Town Hall near Stacy. Walkers and their ëfurryí friends will ëscurryí to gather pledges from family, friends and coworkers, all united in an effort to help the homeless animals in the Chisago County area. All proceeds from the walk will go towards the veterinary care and finding permanent homes for these animals. Walkers compete for prizes for the highest amount of pledges gathered. Visitors and demonstrations that are planned include: Muddona from the St. Paul Saints, Clancy the Mercury Detecting dog from the MPCA, McGruff the Crime dog, agility demonstrations and many more.
