FL Relay for Life raises $188,000

Keynote speaker Peg Nelson, along with several other survivors of cancer, walked along a luminary lined path around the Forest Lake High School track for a survivor lap. While some waved to their supporters on the other side of the fence, others looked at the rows of luminaries surrounding them. The luminaries represented those who have died from the diseases and those who have survived.

This year, the American Cancer Societyís Relay raised $188,000 in Forest Lake, which was $18,000 more than their goal. To date, the Forest Lake Relay has raised over $1 million for cancer research.
