Police in Forest Lake are investigating four burglaries, including three at homes. One business burglary is also under investigation.

The Upperdeck Grill and Bar reported a burglary at 8:40 a.m. but nothing appears missing at this point, Police Chief Clark Quiring said. Three business safes had been moved but the burglars may have been scared off.

Quiring said police believe someone managed to hide in the bar and grill at closing time Saturday night. There was no indication of forced entry and burglar alarms had been cut, the chief said.

While nothing appeared missing, Quiring said there was property damage.

There was also an attempt to find money in the pull-tab booth at Upperdeck operated by the Forest Lake Area Athletic Association, but nothing was missing, the chief said.

Two of the three residential burglaries were forced-entry crimes.

On Dec. 8, a burglary was reported in the 400 block of NW Schilling Court that resulted in the theft of $100 in change, a Sony Handycam and an Olympus digital camera, reports said.

On Dec. 8, a forced entry burglary was reported at a home in the 7700 block of N. 208th St. Nothing appeared to be missing other than a bottle of whiskey, the report said.

On Dec. 7, a forced entry burglary was reported at 5 p.m. when home owners in the 8700 block of N. 215th St. returned to find jewelry and a digital camera had been taken.
