Lights of Hope will help animals
Come Christmas, there will be lots of lights shining brightly on the St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue tree in downtown Forest Lake.
St. Francis has launched its annual holiday season Lights of Hope event with the goal of raising vital operational dollars needed by the animal rescue organization.
Once again, the Lights of Hope tree will be placed outside Danielaís Candy Shop, 145 S. Lake St. The holiday drive is an opportunity to make donations to support homeless animals in the Forest Lake area.
Hereís how it works.
For each $10 donation, one light on the St. Francis Christmas tree will shine in memory or honor of a favorite pet. Donations will also be accepted in memory of special loved ones who have passed on.
All donations are tax deductible.
Donation forms are available now at Danielaís Candy Shop and are also available at all veterinary clinics in Forest Lake and Wyoming.
Forms can also be found online at www.stfrananimal.org.
Forms may be mailed to St. Francis Animal Rescue Organization, P.O. Box 256, Forest Lake, MN 55025. Forms may also be left at Danielaís.
For more information about the drive or other ways to help St. Francis, call 651-464-3510.
The annual holiday drive is a major fund-raising effort for the animal rescue organization.
As an organization, St. Francis is committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of unwanted and homeless dogs and cats.
To that end, the St. Francis mission is to provide a temporary safe haven for those animals, to relieve the worldwide pet overpopulation by altering all companion animals in the St. Francis custody, and to assist in the education and development of positive people-animal relationships.
