Edina Realty in Forest Lake has donated $1500 each to four organizations in the Forest Lake area.

During a ceremony on Jan. 24, Edina Realty presented $1500 checks to:

ïFamily Pathways of Forest Lake and Wyoming.

ïCommunity Helping Hand of Forest Lake.

ïThe Refuge Network.

ïThe Youth Service Bureau of Forest Lake.

Funds for the annual donations are provided through the Edina Realty Foundation. Foundation money is raised by contributions of Edina Realty agents and employees in Forest Lake through home sales and fund-raisers.

The Edina Realty office in Forest Lake has now given over $15,000 to non-profit organizations dealing directly or indirectly with the homeless.

Representing the Edina Realty office for the presentation on Jan. 24 were Jacquie Krismer,
Forest Lake office manager, and Bob Fedderly, Foundation representative.

Representing the four agencies to receive funding were: Steve Martin, Family Pathways; John Lynch, Helping Hand; Jeanne Walz, Youth Service Bureau; and Shellene Johnson, The Refuge Network.

The Edina Realty Foundation, founded in 1996, is a non-profit organization that provides support to organizations that work with homeless children and families. The foundation provides financial support to organizations that provide housing and related services, such as counseling and medical care to homeless children, families and individuals.

To date, the Edina Realty Foundation has raised $3.9 million to support organizations.
