The Rangers other three divers, Jason Carr, Jeff Isaacson and Connor Florand, placed eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth respectively, finishing the event with a total of 127 points.

This point total was surpassed only by the 130 points obtained by the four Lakeville divers.

Other top twenty finishes by the Rangers included a fourth place finish by the 200 yard freestyle relay team of John Goossens, Elijah Miller, Mark Sandager and Sam Gort, ninth place finishes by Gort in the 500 yard freestyle and Sandager in the 100 yard backstroke, a 10th place finish by the 400 yard freestyle relay team of Goossens, Miller, Sandager and Gort, a 12th place finish by Sandager in the 100 yard butterfly, a 15th place finish by Gort in the 200 yard freestyle, a 17th place finish by Miller in the 100 yard breaststroke, an 18th place finish by Goossens in the 50 yard freestyle, and a 20th place finish by Miller in the 200 yard individual medley.

Mounds View came to Forest Lake last Thursday as the fifth rated team in AA competition and the Rangers needed everything they had to be competitive. The Rangers entered the meet missing three of its top swimmers and its top diver due to illness or other school related commitments. The result was that Mounds View handled the Rangers as the Rangers handled Irondale earlier in the week.

Mounds View ended up with first in 11 of the 12 events. Missing from the meet were diver Hudalla, who also missed the Irondale meet, Gort, Miller and Goossens.

The Rangers lone first place finish was by Mark Sandager in the 100 yard backstroke. The Rangers second place finishes were also limited and included Sandager in the 200 yard individual medley, Jeff Isaacson in diving, and the 200 yard medley relay team of Sandager, Elden, Sperry and Isaacson.

The Rangers remaining two dual meets are at Stillwater today, Thursday, and Senior Night at the Southwest Junior High pool against Woodbury Feb. 9.
