Patty Wetterling will seek DFL endorsement for Sixth District Congress; announces in Anoka
Patty Wetterling is seeking the DFL endorsement in the 2006 Sixth Congressional District race.
The childrenšs safety advocate made her announcement this morning (Friday, Feb. 3) at the Anoka County Government Center, then toured the Sixth District, with stops in Oak Park Heights, Stillwater, Woodbury, Elk River, Clearwater, St. Cloud and St. Joseph.
Wetterling will oppose Elwyn Tinklenberg, former state transportation commissioner, deputy Anoka County administrator, Blaine mayor and Methodist minister, for the DFL endorsement.
In her announcement, Wetterling promised to abide by the endorsement, so has Tinklenberg.
