Pop music fans in the Forest Lake area, take note. Elton John is in town.

Well, sort of.

The famous British rocker isnít exactly in Forest Lake, but a part of him is. Through Tuesday, Feb. 14, the public has an opportunity to see one of Johnís famous red pianos.

The Music Connection, 77 SW 8th Ave. is now displaying a Yamaha Elton John Limited Edition disklavier grand piano.

The 6-foot-by-11-inch piano, one of 30 made by Yamaha and autographed by John, is identical to the one used by Elton John for his Red Piano Show in Las Vegas.

The piano on display at The Music Connection is one of two that is touring the country at Yamaha outlets such as The Music Connection. The piano is being displayed at the storeís piano showroom in Forest Lake.

Store owner Charlie Ollmann says the public is welcome to visit the store and have photographs taken with the rare piano.

The 30 models of the limited edition player piano will eventually be sold with a portion of the proceeds donated to an Elton John charity.

The disklavier model comes with five Elton John songs.
