The Governing Board of the Memorial Hospital District will have its first meeting of 2006 on Monday, Jan. 9 at American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave. The organizational meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. A topic of interest on the agenda will be the lawsuit filed against the hospital district by the Forest Lake Community Association attempting to block the final sale of the District Memorial Hospital building and campus in Forest Lake to Fairview Healthcare Services. A closed session is likely to review the litigation.
