Eighth District Congressman James Oberstar has been successful in securing a grant for an airport. Oberstar said last week he has secured a grant totalling $152,000 for the Cambridge Municipal Airport. The funds will be used to construct a taxiway and improve airport drainage which is dated and inadequate, according to a release from Oberstarís office. The funds for the Cambridge project are grants awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The grants are intended to enable airport officials to increase safety for travelers and airport personnel, Oberstar said.
