Beach time beats the heat

The beach at Lakeside Memorial Park in Forest Lake was the place to be in recent days as the temperature climbed to near 100 degrees. Joy Cheney watched as her daughter, Isabel, 15 months, kept her brother Andrew, 2, cool on Mondayís hot summer day. As temperatures stayed in the mid 90ís for the past week, the Wyoming family was one of many that turned to the Forest Lake beach as a way to beat the heat.
