In view of the intense heat, individuals in the Forest Lake and Wyoming areas who do not have access to air conditioning are welcome to come to the air-conditioned atrium area at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming to cool off. The hospital announced this week that residents of the area may use the tables and chairs in the public cafeteria area. Meals and snacks are available to purchase from the cafeteria or from vending machines. There is no provision for cots or sleeping arrangements, but day use is welcome during periods of extreme heat, the hospital said.
