FL receives $66,000 recycling grant
The city of Forest Lakeís curbside recycling program picked up $66,000 on Tuesday, June 27 as the Washington County Board of Commissioners approved a distribution of funds for 2006 and 2007. The funding comes through state grants and the County Environmental Charge. In addition to the city and township recycling grants, revenues from the CEC are used for solid and hazardous waste services such as household hazardous waste collections, community-wide clean-up programs and resource recovery.
