Chisago Lakes band a double winner in July 4th parade
The Chisago Lakes High School Marching Band from Lindstrom was a double winner in the 82nd annual Independence Day Parade in Forest Lake on Tuesday, July 4.
American Legion Post 225, the annual sponsor of the Fourth of July celebration, has released names of award winners from the 2006 parade.
The Chisago Lakes High School band won awards as the best marching band (first place) and best drill squad.
The Legionís Home Town Pride Award, the top local award, was won by the Forest Lake City Marching Band.
The 2006 parade featured 184 units.
