Chisago County Attorney Katherine Johnson has announced she will file for reelection to the four-year position. ìI have exercised sound judgment, strong character and integrity in making tough decisions that have ensured that residents received the best from the county attorneyís office,î Johnson said in a release. ìAs county attorney I will continue to do the right thing for the right reasons. I look forward to continuing to serve for another four years; with the communityís support we will make that happen.î In serving her first term, Johnson said her office has rebuilt an infrastructure to better serve the needs of county citizens and has restructured and hired additional staff to balance case loads and resources while coming in 10 percent under budget in 2005. A lifelong resident of Chisago County, Johnson has raised four children in the county while serving the community as an election judge, swimming program coordinator, blood drive volunteer, 4-H leader and North Branch schools volunteer. She is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul.
