A report of two people in the water and in trouble sent police and rescue personnel in motion late Sunday, but the report was no more than a scare.

Police in Forest Lake were called to Third Lake at 4:30 p.m. to investigate a report of two people in the water and not in a boat. When the Washington County water patrol unit was not available, Forest Lake Fire & Rescue was called.

But all ended well, police said, when emergency personnel were cancelled en route as the situation was resolved with no harm to anyone.
