The Lakes Area Business Association has elected new officers for 2006-2007. Jerry Neumann of Edward Jones Investments, Wyoming, is the new president. Richard Pecar of the Forest Lake Community Association, was elected vice-president. Karen Freed is secretary and John Freed is the treasurer. The Freeds represent Forest Engineering, Forest Lake. Pecar, Neumann, Karen Freed, Bryon Armstrong of Lakes Taxi and Bob Linwood of Shoreline Express were elected as directors. The LABA is a group of area business leaders working to reduce the cost of doing business in the Forest Lake, Columbus, Linwood, Scandia and Wyoming areas.
