Forest Lake's basketball season came to a close Tuesday night with a loss in the Class 4AAAA Tournament. Coach Chuck Gunderson's troops bowed out of tourney play with a 60-41 defeat at the hands of St. Paul Johnson. The loss came in the semi-finals. Johnson moves on to play Stillwater, a 61-60 victor over Mounds View in overtime, for the sectional title and a trip to the state tournament.

Forest Lake fell behind 31-21 in the opening half and could not recover against the Governors. Johnson also held a 29-20 advantage in the second half to win going away.

Senior Nate Robertson played his final game in maroon and gold, dropping in a game-high 21 points. Forest Lake finished the season with a 15-13 record.
