The Washington County Department of Transportation and Physical Development said the 2006 spring load limit restrictions for county roads is effective as of 12:01 a.m., March 8. The spring road restrictions will stay in effect for eight weeks, unless special circumstances dictate otherwise. County roads will be posted with signs indicating the spring load limit for a particular road. Any county road without a posted load limit has a five ton axle limit restriction. During spring weight restrictions, Washington County does not issue permits for overweight transport, except in cases of a serious public health emergency.
